Hi, I’m Evan Murray, owner and operator of Skeletal Studios and an audio engineer at the prestigious Encapsulated Studios. I’ve been involved in the local music scene for more than 20 years, playing a variety of instruments and working with artists in many different roles. I earned my degree in Audio Production from Webster University in 2011 and later interned with producer John Feldmann, whose credits include The Used, Blink-182, Panic! At the Disco, and Good Charlotte. Over the years, I’ve toured on multiple DIY runs, worked as an audio engineer on a wide range of recording projects, and continued performing as a musician.
Skeletal Studios is the realization of a lifelong dream: a professional commercial recording studio that bridges the gap between recording in your garage and spending a fortune at a large commercial facility. As a young musician, I experienced that challenge firsthand. It inspired me to pursue audio production in college and build a studio where artists can achieve professional results at a price that makes sense.
Throughout my musical journey, I’ve played guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and even a little piano. I specialize in punk, rock, metal, singer-songwriter, indie, pop, and electronic music, and I’m still active in a local band in the St. Louis area. Helping artists bring their music to life is what drives me. Whether you’re recording your first single or your next full-length release, my goal is to make the process enjoyable, professional, and affordable.
